4th Edition - September 25th to December 22nd, 2017

Spanish language course

Why this course

Following the success of the first editions, IME and Altum, Ingeniería y Servicios (ALTUM) join forces again in the fourth edition of the course of Fishing Business, that has been under development for some time with the unique objective to offer the fishing sector a course which would give an overview of the fishing business today and that was very well received in many iberoamerican countries.

The course comes from the partners’ complementarity, where the IME offers its 30 years of experience in organizing specialized courses, high quality post graduates and masters of high quality in the entire maritime sector.

On the other hand, ALTUM brings its expertise in the design and construction of fishing vessels and their long history of technical advice to fishing vessel owners.

From IME’s online platform, the aim is to provide training for the entire fishing industry (ship owners, suppliers, governments, organizations, associations, engineering firms, etc.) as well as other potential sectors with an interest in expanding their knowledge of the fishing business. The IME has been developing online training since 2000, having done many programs of different levels in the maritime field, from Masters, monographic courses, to in-company, etc.

The course is divided into 8 Modules. Each will be taught by a professor who is an expert on the subject. Each Module is evaluated independently with an online test or a case study will be done in groups or individually.

Additionally the course will have two webinars, an online-seminar, taught by leading industry professionals, who will address current issues, and later allow for a round of Q & A.

The entire course will be done through the IMe-learning platform where students can download course content, complementary content as well, ask teachers questions, chat with course mates, debate and do case studies.
